First Article

For my first article, I was assigned to visit a school district in Delaware who claimed to be the first district to offer a vegetarian program for its students and faculty.

I had to speak with someone who worked for the state of Delaware to make sure, in fact, they were the first district to do so. After doing that, I contacted members of the nutrition staff of the district to set up an in-person interview. I also spoke with the people who developed the program. I was also able to interview students who had been eating the new vegetarian food.
